Our Summertime Adventures

Here are a few pictures of our favorite summer adventures. I finally was able to take the girls to get their ears pierced. They did so good. I was nervous, but they only cried for a minute. Now they don't even bother them, and they look adorable. The girls have really taken a liking to swimming. They definitely don't get that from their Mom, but I do have fun taking them and watching them play. The Nephi pool even has a place just the right size for them. Brook and Bryn have come to know the concession stands. They learned that one fast from all the ball games we have been to this year. Their favorite thing to get is sno cones. They LOVE them. They love ice in general, so adding flavor to their ice only makes it better right? We were able to make the Johnson family reunion this year, and had a blast. My mom watched the girls while Steven and I were able to go on the big family horse ride. I think there were 19 of us that went this year. It was so nice to get back in the saddle again. I need to go again before summer time is over. I was even able to get them to get on a horse without being scared. I was so happy to see them enjoy the horses. I can't wait to take them on a ride! Steven took me and the girls on our own little family camping trip. We just went up Manti Canyon to a little spot called Yerns. Steve made us an awesome orange chicken dinner, and some cobbler. The girls love being able to sleep in a tent, and being able to run around outside exploring. It was so nice just to get away and spend time as a Family without having to worry about anything else. I'm sad to see the summer coming closely to an end. We have loved all the time we get to spend in Ftn. Green with my parents. They are so good to my girls and I'm glad we can be close to them. We have also enjoyed walking down to Grandma and Grandpa Olson's to jump on the tramp and see the cow. It has been a great summer. Overall the best thing about this summer, is the time we got to spend with Family. I love my cute little family with all my heart. I am truly blessed with a great husband, and daughters.

18 months

I have a hard time believing that little girls are 18 months old. They are now going to Nursery (which has now become my new calling), they are starting to talk more, and just busy busy busy all day long. It has been so fun to watch them discover new things. I love listening to them say new words, and figure out what I'm saying to them. They love each other more, but yet fight with each other even more. But what are sisters for right? Brooklyn has a bad habit of biting her sister, but Brynlee takes it pretty good. I'm glad she doesn't try biting her back, but I have to figure out how to break Brooklyn's habit. When we went to their 18 month check up, their doctor was so impressed with their strength. They are tough little girls. They love reading books, jumping on the tramp, sliding, and swimming. Being a mom to Brooklyn and Brynlee has become life. I enjoy it so much. I have bad days just like everyone else, but I wouldn't change this crazy life for anything else. I love them with all my heart, and feel so blessed to get to stay at home to take care of them.

Lamb Days

I have so much to catch up on, but I think I will just do one post at a time. Lamb Days is my favorite time of the year. I don't think anyone who isn't from Ftn. Green understands the importance of this day (well actually week) I just can't think of anything better than summertime, spending time with family, playing softball, and getting together as a community to have some fun. The week starts out with some Coed softball. You sign up to play, and they draw your name our of hats, and put you on a team. Trevor described the night before Lamb Days, when you find out who's team your on as "Christmas Eve." Now other people might find that crazy, but we love it. It turned out that Me and Steven got put on Trevor's team, which was pretty fun. I have never had my brothers on one of my teams, and since Heidi is pregnant, she didn't get to play. Ryan and Cassie were on a different team. I was pretty bummed we didn't get the chance to play them. Saturday is the official Lamb Days. The kids enjoy being in, and watching the Parade while the guys play in the Men's League softball tournament. This year Ryan and Trevor were put in charge of it, and I think they did a good job. It turned out nice, and they ended up taking 2nd place. After taking a little break from the sun, we are back to playing softball, and then watching the most amazing fireworks. I just don't see how it can get better than that!
