Lamb Days

So I'm not even lying when I say that Lamb days is my favorite time of the year. It is a week of softball, family, and fun. Each year we get to play coed softball that goes Tuesday-Saturday. You sign up to play, and then your name is drawn and put on a team, so each year your team is different. This year my team was not so good, but it was fun. I enjoyed getting to play with Steven, and also being able to play our last game against Trevor and Heidi. That is another thing I love about playing. I like to be able to play against my brothers, and just pray that my team is better. Nothing better than beating my brothers at something :) I will never forget the year that Mine and my Dad's team beat Trevor's team in the championship. I also love being able to watch the men's tournament on saturday morning. The Killer's took 2nd this year, hopefully they can do better next year. Also Lamb Day fireworks were AMAZING this year. Such a fun time of year, and I can't wait til next year :)

6 Months

I cannot believe that our little girls are 6 months old. I seriously have no idea where the time goes. I sure wish it would slow down. We have loved every second of being their parents. We feel so blessed to be a part of their life. I don't know what I would do with out them.

This is a picture of them both getting to come home. I feel like it was just yesterday. I can't believe how much they have grown since this day. They used to look so fragile. Now look at my beautiful little girls growing up...

I thought I would list a few things the girls like at this point in life.
They both love to roll all over the living room.
They would rather be on their belly than any other position.
They have discovered their voices and LOVE them. They both will sing at the top of their lung especially when they get excited.
They LOVE LOVE food. They will beg food from anyone no matter what it is.
Their favorite baby food is Bananas, and Apple Blueberry.
Brynlee has learned to climb out of her bumbo and thinks it is so funny.
Brooklyn loves faces. She has to play with my face as she falls asleep or when she is excited.
They both love bath time. They let you know when they are ready and then they want it NOW.
They have so much personality and bring so much joy into our home. We love them sooo much!

Primary Childrens

Brooklyn and Brynlee both had to spend some time in Primary Childrens hospital. Brooklyn was in for 2 weeks and Brynlee was in for about a week. Brynlee was actually released to us from Utah valley, but then we found out she had to be put under the lights. Since we were already at Primary's, they just admitted Brynlee there so we wouldn't have to travel back and forth between hospitals. Brynlee also had to have lots of tests done to check her blood. They had a little bit of what is called "twin to twin." That is were one twin steals food and blood from the other twin. That is why Bryn was 1 pound heavier then Brooklyn, and she also had a lot higher red blood count. So anyway that is the reasoning for being admitted into primary Childrens.  Brooklyn was in for her heart problem. They called in TVD which is a valve in her heart that doesn't shut all the way. This also caused for an irregular heart beat. I will never forget our experience here. They took such good care of my babies. I felt like I lived here, and they make you feel welcome. I hated having to see her with all the wires on her, but you can tell they definitely know what they are doing. I have always heard that Christ walks the halls at that hospital, and I have come to find that you can definitley feel his presence there.

This doesn't even show half the wires that she had on her, but she is such a beautiful little baby. I admire her strength.

I love this picture of Steven and Brooklyn. I am so thankful for him and his Priesthood, it is what helped all of us get through this time in our life. He is such a great father.

This is a picture of Brynlee we took while staying with my cousin Cassey. We can't even thank Cassey and his wife enough for letting us stay with them during this time. It saved us a lot of money and it is nice to know you always have family to count on to be there for you in times of need. :) I had a lot more pictures on my phone, but they somehow got deleted.

January 25th 2012

So I'm basically doing this for myself since this is my "journal", but I wanted to share a few things about the day the girls were born. This way I will always have this to remind me, not that I am ever going to forget this day.
I was admitted into Utah Valley Hospital on January 24th around 8:00 p.m. It was a long restless night, even though the nurses kept telling me to get some sleep.(Yeah like that was really going to happen:) Around 3:00 a.m Doctor Jacobs came in and told me that if I would take the epidural he would break my water to get things moving along faster. Of course I wasn't going to turn that down. 6:30 a.m. I was wheeled into the OR (in case of an emergency c-section.) Brooklyn made her way into this world at 6:57 a.m. The doctor didn't even let me see her, before rushing her away into the next room. They made Steve go with her, telling him they would take care of me and let him know when Brynlee was about to come. Well Brynlee must have been in a hurry to get back to her sister, because at 7:01 she came along. Steven barely even made it into the room as she was coming out.

This is Brynlee. She came out at 5 lbs 1 oz.

Brooklyn was 4 lbs. 1 oz. I still can't believe they were this small. She needed a little extra help breathing and clearing out her lungs. She was then rushed to the NICU.

Visiting Brynlee in the Nursery

Cute little sad face.

This is Brooklyn in the NICU. This picture makes me cry everytime. Poor little girls, but she is a strong one.

This is the first time I got to see the girls together, right before they took Brooklyn by ambulance to Primary Childrens. This was the happiest/saddest moment of my life. It was so good to have them together, but broke my heart when they took Brooklyn away. I love these two little girls so much. They give me the strength to keep going each day. We couldn't have made it through this without the love, support and prayers from Family and Friends

New Blog

So I have decided it is time to get back to blogging. I have been such a slacker, but I am now ready to get doing my journal enteries. Steven just got me a laptop for my birthday, so hopefully it will be easier to keep up to date on what is going on in our lives. I enjoy being able to stay at home with my two beatiful little girls. They keep me busy, but they are part of the reason for the smile on my face each day. I never realized how much love a children can bring into your home. Steven works hard to provide for our family working on the turkey farm. We keep busy each day and Love life. I hope to update the new blog to current happenings, so I hope you don't get sick of reading them :) ENJOY!
